  1. I've watched Brian T's first video and LOVED it. I am a private pilot though I haven't rented an airplane for many years. Brian's point is right-on: aviation has had a remarkable effect on our world. Airplanes have allowed us to establish a system of travel-arteries in the sky much like the highway system of the '30s and '40s that made it possible to travel around the U.S. And the bottom line is this: although we do have the internet and video conferencing, people still have to go and meet other people, and that takes an airplane – the fastest, most reliable commercial method of travel available on the planet. Oh, and flowers from Bolivia are very nice to enjoy a day after they are picked fresh from the countryside – as well as the thousands of other things that are available to have via FedEx.

  7. Terrific. Made my second trip to Mem hub in Nov. 17 years after joining FedEx, I regained the appreciation and awe that I had in the beginning. Having had the opportunity to work so many places around the world it is even more amazing that we can do it so easily by comparison with 50-100 years ago.
